A wide and then another four!
Lauren Filer hacks Em Arlott out to the mid-wicket boundary, Georgia Voll tips the ball away from the ropes on the dive but it spins back onto the sponge.
Voll does some good work three balls later, saving a boundary down the ground from Sophia Smale having run round - just a single there.

Ellyse Perry nearly timed that jump to perfection and Lauren Filer is not giving up here.
You do feel like they need a Deandra Dottin at the crease to win this now however.

Four more!
Lauren Filer's drive off Em Arlott just beats the diving mid-off fielder and heads for the ropes.

Hello there, Lauren Filer!
The Originals number nine smacks Emma Lamb out through the leg side for a second-ball four.

Sophie Ecclestone was not looking at the fielder and she thought she had made her ground easily.

Shocking. That deserved to be out. That should have been such an easy single.
Ecclestone run out (Originals 58-7)
Come on now.
New batter Sophie Ecclestone hits to Ailsa Lister at mid-wicket, decides she too fancies a run that isn't on and is beaten by the throw at the non-striker's end.
Originals making an absolute hash of this.
Target 151
Image source, ReutersHalfway through at Sophia Gardens and Trent Rockets are still in hot pursuit of their target with just 64 runs needed from the remaining 50 balls.
That is despite losing opener Tom Banton (32 from 20 balls), who was caught at mid-off by Welsh Fire captain Tom Abell off the bowling of Ben Kellaway.
There have been some massive shots by Joe Root, who continues on 34 (23), and Rehan Ahmed, who smacked a six over long-on to effortlessly begin his innings.

Seren Smale was brought back on strike from that run-out and she takes a single into mid-wicket.

Ellyse Perry doing Ellyse Perry things. She took a second when she picked up the ball to line herself up with the stumps.
The momentum is back with the Phoenix after Seren Smale was starting to find some rhythm.
Morris run out (Perry) 9 (Originals 54-6)
Dreadful.
Fi Morris kills the momentum from those boundaries, running herself out from the next delivery.
She pushes to mid-off and heads off for a single that's never there, Ellyse Perry's throw hits the non-striker's stumps and Morris has given up her sprint before the bails have flown.
Boundaries!
Consecutive boundaries!
Fi Morris brings up the Originals half-century.

Megan Schutt is so hard to play. Fi Morris is trying hit with a natural shape and help the ball into the leg-side.

Megan Schutt back into the attack - are Phoenix hunting the wickets to finish this game off?
The Australian seamer doesn't pick up anything off this set, but concedes just three runs.
Ashwanth R Kavuluri
CricViz analyst
At the 50-ball mark, both Phoenix and Originals had scored exactly 34 runs - now the joint-lowest totals in the first 50 balls of an innings this season, remarkably both coming in the same game.

More of the same.
Five singles off Emma Lamb, the sixth bowler used by Phoenix today.
Callum Flynn
England PD cricketer on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra
Manchester Originals need to be more proactive. There have been far too many dot balls.
But if they go too aggressive and lose another wicket, it is all left on the shoulders of Sophie Ecclestone. They desperately need a partnership.
74 runs needed
Four singles off Geogia Voll's second set of five deliveries.
Just Dottin's six is the only boundary since the 11th ball of the innings.
Callum Flynn
England PD cricketer on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra
Seren Smale needs to recuperate now and reassess her plans. She is getting a bit flustered and is trying to do too many things.
Spin is doing the damage so far in restricting Originals from getting going.
