Challenge completed - this 3-year-old is thought to be the youngest ever person to climb all the Wainwrights in the Lake District.

The Wainwrights are a set of 214 hills and mountains, so it's a truly epic mission to try and conquer them all.

Three-year-old Navy and his family have been trying to climb all of the fells - which is a common word for the hills and mountains in the Lake District.

Speaking to Newsround, Navy said he was very "happy" with his achievement.

His big sister Jessica told the BBC: "I didn't really think he could actually do it, because he seemed so young ... but he's proven me wrong."

The family started their mission when they moved to Cumbria earlier this year.

Navy told Newsround all about the different creatures that he saw with his family during the walks.

Navy loved seeing red squirrels, as well as deer, rabbits, caterpillars, worms, slugs, owls, badgers, bats, sheeps, cows, and horses!

Oh, and they also saw a stoat - but it might have been a weasel.

But for Jessica, the creatures weren't always a welcome sight.

"It was really good, but Navy kept bringing little spiders and daddy long legs to me - I didn't like that!

"The hardest part was getting up in the morning!"

The Wainwrights are a stunning set of fells in the Lake District

The 214 Wainwrights were named after fell walker and author Alfred Wainwright, who described them in seven books published between 1955 and 1966.

The list includes Scafell Pike, which is the highest mountain in England at nearly 1,000m tall.

Navy told Newsround that his favourite Wainwright was Binsey, which he walked on a lovely sunny day.

For his big brother Oliver, the best one was Rosthwaite Fell, sometimes called Bessyboot... which sounds a lot like welly boot!

It's important to be prepared when attempting a challenge like Navy has

The British Mountaineering Council, who are an organisation that represents climbers and hill walkers, say that it's really important to plan when walking the Wainwrights.

They list on their website that a "map, compass, torch, whistle, watch, and first aid kit" are the main things to pack, and that walkers should always let someone know where they're going and what time they might be back.

Walkers should always check and be mindful of the weather to make sure they're "not going up the fells in hazardous conditions".
