    So, what can we expect from Donald Trump’s two-day visit?

    The US president will hold a courtesy call with Irish President Catherine Connolly, before meeting Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) Micheál Martin for bilateral talks later this morning.

    He’ll also attend events at the US ambassador’s residence in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.

    Trump will later travel to County Clare, where he’ll attend the Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Doonbeg, which he owns.

    His visit will take him from Dublin to the west coast before he's due to leave Ireland on Sunday.

    A huge security operation has been under way in the Irish capital for the arrival of US President Donald Trump.

    He's due to land within the next hour or so, with the president set for a number of events in Dublin this morning before travelling to his hotel in Doonbeg, County Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    The Irish Open golf tournament is taking place there until Sunday evening.
