What is Bonfire Night?
Bonfire Night is a British festival held every year on 5th November. It marks when Guy Fawkes and his group were stopped in their plan to set fire to the Houses of Parliament, as part of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605. In the UK, people gather outdoors around big bonfires, watch firework displays and enjoy traditional treats like toffee apples.
