First person narration
BRYAN Letâs talk about first person narration in Duck Feet. What what benefits do you get from being right inside the characterâs head?
ELY I almost always write in first person. I mean, I just prefer it, and I prefer reading books that are in first person. To me, it just feels, it feels as if youâre stepping right into that personâs skin. I mean, it can be it can be limiting, I suppose, at times as well, because you can only get Kirstyâs opinion on stuff in Duck Feet. You donât get other peopleâs unless theyâre directly talking to her. So everything is filtered through her.
