Fewer state pupils at Cambridge
Cambridge University
Cambridge has more women students than last year
Cambridge University says it is "disappointed" at a fall in the number of state school pupils gaining places.

According to admissions figures for this autumn's entry, there were 52% of students entering from the state sector, compared with 53% last year.

Cambridge freshers 2000
48% private schools
34% comprehensives
11% further education
7% grammar schools
10% "non-white"
48% women
89% have three grades As
