London Irish have announced the signing of Wales Under-20s fly-half Steven Shingler from Scarlets. The 19-year-old, who has made four appearances for the Welsh regional outfit, has signed a two-year deal. "I'm impressed with [head coach] Toby Booth's vision and the opportunity of learning from Mike Catt is too good to turn down," Shingler said. "Steven is a player with a huge amount of potential and he will be a great attribute for our squad," Booth added. "He has impressive vision and is a superb goal kicker. We feel working with the coaching team here at London Irish will help to propel Steven to the next level of his game."
