Blackheath registered their first win of the season, beating Sedgley Park 35-29 in National One on Saturday.

Trailing by a point going into added time, Tyson Lewis scored a late try to send much relief around Rectory Field.

After successive defeats in National Two South, meanwhile, Westcombe Park bounced back with a 20-13 win over newly promoted Clifton.

Canterbury dropped two places in the table to fifth as they were thrashed 50-8 by unbeaten Ealing.
