Challenge Cup finalists Warrington have been boosted by the news that Lee Briers' facial injury is not as serious as first thought. The half-back did not reappear for the second half of Wolves' 36-16 defeat at Wigan on Friday after taking an accidental blow from Pat Richards. But X-rays at the weekend and a scan on Monday revealed no serious damage. Briers may now feature in Friday's Super League clash with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
