Fien helped New Zealand to World Cup glory in Australia
|
Huddersfield Giants have failed in their bid to sign New Zealand's World Cup-winning half-back Nathan Fien.
The Giants turned to the 29-year-old after their deal to bring Todd Carney to the Galpharm Stadium was scuppered when he was refused a visa.
Fien had asked to be released from the remaining 12 months of his contract with Auckland Warriors to move to Huddersfield on a three-year deal.
But Fien has now been assured that he has a future at Auckland.
