Coventry Blaze bounced back from successive defeats with Elite League wins over Hull and Nottingham.
But head coach Paul Thompson was not happy with Sunday's 6-5 victory against Nottingham at the Skydome Arena.
"I detest games like that because of our shape and our control", said Thompson to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire after edging home against Panthers.
Captain Adam Calder bagged a hat-trick while Dan Carlson, Danny Stewart and Sylvain Deschatelets also scored.
Barrie Moore and Jonathan Weaver scored the goals as The Blaze won 2-0 at Hull on Saturday night.
The two weekend wins mean they have now won three of their first four Elite League games.
That ends the two-game losing run which had seen them go down 5-1 at Sheffield Steelers and then again 5-3 in the Challenge Cup at home to Cardiff Devils.
