Adrian Lewis missed out on a place in the 2009 Premier League

Adrian Lewis was beaten by Raymond van Barneveld 7-5 in a challenge match at the Sheffield Arena on night 13 of the Premier League.
Lewis was making his first appearance of the year on a Premier League stage, having missed out on a place in the original tournament.
Phil Taylor beat Dennis Priestley 7-4 in another challenge match.
Meanwhile, James Wade jumped above Taylor and returned to the top of the table with a win over Jelle Klaasen.
Lewis, from Stoke-on-Trent, took part in the Premier League for the first time in 2008, reaching the semi-final stages.
He was just outside the qualification places for the 2009 competition, and missed out on a wildcard.
The two additional places were given to Klaasen and Wayne Mardle, who has since withdrawn from the Premier League because he is suffering from mumps.
