Britain's Robert Smith and Kalusha just missed out in the Shelley Ashman, BEIB & Equine Risk Stakes at the London International Horse Show.
Swiss rider Beat Mandli on Principal raced through with a late run at Olympia to win by 0.13 seconds.
The 12-year-old grey Kalusha, winner of the World Cup round in Vigo last February, has also scored in Belfast and Geneva in the last 10 days.
Kent's Guy Williams won a place in the Mitsubishi Motors Ride & Drive Final.
The London International Horse Show runs from 14-20 December at Olympia.
The event is being covered by both BBC Sport Interactive and BBC2 Sunday Grandstand.
The Interactive service will cover live the afternoon performance on Saturday, 18 December.
