Birmingham Brummies will announce their first new signing for the 2009 season on Monday.
The identity of the latest recruit will be revealed at a Supporters' Club meeting with the Brummies boss Graham Drury confirming a deal is in place.
"It's nice to offer fans first news of the signing. He's a rider with undoubted ability and potential."
The Brummies finished 2008 in 12th place in the league and were runners up in the Premier League trophy.
