Newcastle team manager George English believes his side are approaching Sunday's Premier Trophy final against Birmingham in their best shape. Diamonds recorded their 10th straight victory against Somerset on Sunday, thanks to Danish rider Kenni Larsen's 15-point maximum. "This team is motoring in top gear at the moment. It's like a well-oiled machine," English said. "It sets us up beautifully for next week's final."
