Stockport defender James Tunnicliffe's trial at Liverpool has been extended.
Manager Rafael Benitez was unable to watch the 16-year-old last week because he was away with the first team for the Champions League tie with Anderlecht.
Should Liverpool want to sign him, a deal has already been agreed that could earn Stockport up to £750,000.
"He would be in our first team by the end of the season, I am sure. It's an opportunity we couldn't really turn down," said County boss Chris Turner.
