Rochdale have loaned out Callum Byrne to Evo-Stick League First Division North side Trafford for a month.
The 18-year-old is a first year professional at Spotland and will go out in search of first team football.
Keith Hill told the club website: "It is important that young players get some real football and by that I mean men's football under their belt.
"The move to Trafford gives him the opportunity to gain the experience of the physical challenge of the league."
