Midfielders Danny Pugh and Michael Tonge have extended their loans at Preston until 16 January from Stoke.
The current deals were due to run out following North end's trip to Watford on Saturday.
Tonge, 27, who began his career with Sheffield United, scored against Cardiff in his third of four appearances for Preston so far.
Manchester-born Pugh, 28, played a pivotal role in Preston's crucial 1-0 win over Ipswich last Saturday.
