Peterborough United are close to completing a deal for Grimsby defender Ryan Bennett.
The 19-year-old is training with Posh ahead of agreeing an initial loan deal.
He was the subject of two bids from Peterborough over the summer, but subsequently signed a new four-year deal with the Mariners.
A statement on the Grimsby club website said: "He is expected to pen a loan deal with a view to a permanent switch to London Road."
