Tranmere Rovers have signed forward Dylan Jones on a season-long loan from Norwich City.

Jones, 21, is returning to Prenton Park having spent the second half of last season on loan with Tranmere.

He played four times and scored his first professional goal before injury curtailed his move.

"I loved my time here last season, but it ended too soon, and I feel like I've got some unfinished business at Tranmere," he told the club's website, external.

These two sides are yet to register a league win between them in their combined opening four games of the season.

Burnley's point against West Ham on the opening weekend is all these two highly-fancied teams have to show for their efforts so far.

• Norwich City have won just one of their past 12 league games against Burnley (D3 L8), their only win coming via a 2-0 home success in April 2022.

• Burnley have won each of their past four league games against Norwich City across the 2022-23 and 2024-25 seasons and will be hoping for five successive victories in this fixture for the first time.

• After losing their opening two league games this season, Norwich will be hoping to avoid losing their opening three league fixtures of a second-tier campaign for the first time since 1997-98.

• Since 1 November 2025, Burnley have won fewer games than any other ever-present team across England's top four tiers, recording just a single win from their 31 matches (D10 L20).

• Burnley have failed to win any of their 10 league games without Zian Flemming appearing since the start of last season (D3 L7), losing five of six away matches in that period.

Norwich City boss Philippe Clement has likened his squad to "one family" after they held off Cardiff City 2-1 to progress to the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Croatian striker Ante Crnac scored what turned out to be the winner after coming on as a second-half substitute, guiding a low cross from Jack Stacey into the net.

It was his first goal since recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury which had kept him out of action for 10 months and was met by huge celebrations from the travelling Canaries supporters and all those on the visitors' bench.

"Really special for him. I congratulated him not only for the goal but for 10 months of really hard work and staying positive and fighting back," Clement told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"It's really nice that in his first minutes, he can get the reward to score a very important goal for the club, and to [help] us qualify.

"It will give him a lot of confidence for the future because he's been fighting with his body for 10 months. So, to get this reward, and see that your body is fine, it's a really important thing for him."

Norwich winger Ali Ahmed has also suffered a ruptured ACL in his right knee and is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2026-27 season.

"We are one family so everybody lives with each other in the good, and the bad, moments," Clement continued.

"Everybody is also living with Ali [Ahmed] for the moment. The dressing room is really close and that's really important for the months to come."

Siddienam: Great start to the season. Squad bonding well, defence looking solid and attacking threats from different places. Loving so far, hopefully we can keep going like this. And keep Femi!

Rob: A real team performance holding the ball, carrying the ball. More direct than we have been at times. Norwich were out-thought in this one. Can we go again? Why not? COYL.

Bez: Totally outplayed Norwich today. Jensen Metcalfe ruled the midfield, Coburn was strong up front. In fact, the whole team were a force.

Philip: The tide is turning. Millwall could never beat Norwich for years. A five-goal difference after two games is amazing. It took most of last season to achieve that.

Terry: Well-deserved win against poor opposition. Millwall team energised, up for the game and in Norwich's faces from the word go. Great team performance, with five first-teamers out injured.

Jamie: We were truly awful, that was the worst defensive display I've seen in a while, and we have the worst keeper in the league.

Peter: Dismal performance, a lot of players have hangovers. McLean, second week in a row, lacking pace and woeful with his passes. His partner Field was a perfect one out of 10 performance. The rest of the team - three out of 10 would be the best l could give them.

Mike: Norwich were second-best in every department. Good luck to Millwall, as they were quicker, sharper, more cohesive and skilful and worked well as a team. I was hopeful for promotion for Mr Clement's side (rather than expectant) but am busy resetting my sights...

Canary Kid: Flat. Just flat. How virtually the same team can put in two completely different performances in a week is baffling. Millwall were very good, and we could not match them in any area. A wake-up call for some who may have thought they could just turn up and turn it on.

Alan: Not surprised. All the hype for the new season. I think they will struggle again. They have no attacking goal scorers and clearly have problems in defence, the same as last year. They will lose against Burnley.

Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement has spoken to the media before the Canaries' Championship match at Millwall on Saturday (12:30 BST).

Here are some of the key points:

• Clement said about 70 countries use VAR. He does not understand why the Championship does not have it as if it did the handball for West Brom's opening goal last weekend would have been ruled out.

• West Brom striker Aune Heggebo has since been banned for the handball offence.

• On new winger Anthony Musaba, who is available for selection: "He can play on the left or the right, is good with both feet and can bring goals and assists."

• Strikers Ante Crnac and Jovon Makama are still building fitness and are not expected be in the squad.

• Clement praised Millwall's campaign last season when they went close to gaining automatic promotion to the Premier League before missing out in the play-offs.

• Clement said: "Every game of football we need to go fully for the three points, no matter whether it's home or away. I have good memories from playing away last season."

New Norwich City signing Anthony Musaba is a "good prospect" for the club but struggles to maintain consistent form, says BBC Radio Sheffield's Andy Giddings.

The winger spent two seasons at Sheffield Wednesday, scoring 12 goals across 80 appearances, before moving to Turkey in 2025, first to Samsunspor before a move to Fenerbahce.

Giddings said Musaba is one of the players the Owls would have been interested in keeping before their financial troubles escalated and can offer the Canaries a good option up front, though potentially an unreliable one.

"At his best, he's a goalscoring winger, he's a player who can take on other players," Giddings told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"Durability is not his problem, it's form. Just get set for one week, he looks utterly terrific and then maybe for the next couple of weeks he doesn't."

These two sides ended last season strongly with Millwall reaching the play-offs before losing to Hull City in the semi-finals, while Norwich climbed from the relegation zone in November to finish in ninth place.

Both are tipped to challenge for at least a top-six place this season.
