Spring was on the verge of signing for Nottingham Forest

Leeds have signed Luton midfielder Matthew Spring on a three-year deal.
The 25-year-old playmaker passed a medical at Elland Road this week and joined his new team-mates for pre-season training on Thursday.
Spring was on his way to link up with former Luton boss Joe Kinnear at Nottingham Forest until Leeds came in with a late bid.
"It was a bit of a shock because I was lined up to go to Forest and I was pleased with that," he said.
"Then a couple of days later Leeds came in with an offer.
"I had a decision to make but as soon as I saw Elland Road and thought about the atmosphere of 35,000 fans at every home game my mind was made up.
"I feel great about it. It's all been a bit of a whirlwind but it's a great opportunity."
Spring is the latest in a series of signings by Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell.
