Hamilton Academical defender Ross McCabe is targeting a swift return to the side after suffering heart failure during last weekend's match with Clyde.
The 18-year-old has been released from Glasgow Infirmary, where he had been monitored since the incident.
He told BBC Five Live Sport: "I don't know when I will play again but I'd say in about a month. We'll see how I go.
"I can remember going for a tackle and then I couldn't get up. I want to thank the medical staff for saving my life."
McCabe collapsed on the pitch 10 minutes before the end of the match but was revived by medical staff using a defibrillator.
He was then taken straight to a Hairmyres Hospital before being transferred to complete his recovery.
Avril John, who is part of the medical team at Hamilton, said the team acted quickly after McCabe went down under a heavy tackle.
"Ross received a blow to his neck and to the chest," John told BBC Five Live. "He went down and became unresponsive.
"We had to do a manual CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). You don't really pay any attention to the crowd in those situations, you switch off and focus on what you are doing."
