Grimsby are set to sign Leicester striker Ashley Chambers on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old will train with the Mariners on Thursday and Friday and is likely to be included in their squad to face Rotherham on Saturday.
Chambers became the youngest player to appear for Leicester when he made his first team debut as a 15-year-old in September 2005.
He has already spent time on loan at Wycombe this season.
