Forest Green Rovers assistant boss Shaun Taylor has thrown his hat into the ring again for the managerial vacancy at Conference rivals Exeter.
The ex-Grecians skipper was interviewed for the job before departing boss Alex Inglethorpe's appointment in 2004.
He told the Express & Echo: "I was disappointed not to get it last time.
"I do want to do things properly, though, and I will need to speak to (boss) Gary Owers and the chairman at Forest Green."
Plymouth-born Taylor, 43, made 200 league appearances for Exeter between 1986 and 1991, and captained them to promotion from Division Four in 1990.
