Blue Square Premier side Chester City are due to hold talks with former Bradford City centre-back Mark Bower.
The 29-year-old, who is a free agent following his release by the Bantams in May, will train with City on Wednesday.
In addition to Bower, goalkeeper Andrew Murray is hoping to impress the management at the Deva Stadium.
Murray, 20, had a spell with Preston North End last season and is expected to feature in City's friendly, alongside Bower, at Marine on Saturday.
