Bury have begun contract negotiations with midfielder Michael Jones in a bid to extend his contract.
The 23-year-old joined the club in July 2008 and has gone on to make 103 appearances scoring 11 goals.
Jones came through the youth system at Tranemere Rovers and also had a spell at Shrewsbury at loan.
The club also began contract negotiations with Ryan Lowe this week as they look to tie squad members down before their contracts expire.
