Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law has signed Mansfield Town midfielder Steven Istead on a month-long loan deal.
The 23-year-old moved to Field Mill from Ilkeston Town in the summer but has only started four games for the Blue Square Premier high-flyers.
Stags boss David Holdsworth told his club website: "I'm sure he will have a successful spell. It's important fringe players get minutes on the pitch."
The Reds have also signed Bromley midfielder Curtis Shaw, 22.
