Accrington Stanley P-P Shrewsbury

Accrington Stanley's meeting with Shrewsbury in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy second round has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The decision was made after a pitch inspection at 1700 GMT.

The postponement is a blow to Stanley, who need to pay £308,000 to HM Revenue & Customs by the end of the month.

The club has arranged a friendly against Premier League neighbours Blackburn on 13 October to raise funds for the Save our Stanley campaign.
