Worcestershire have awarded a contract to all-rounder Daryl Mitchell, who recently made his first team debut.
The 21-year-old, who came through the club's Academy, will now be on the staff until the end of next summer.
"This is something I have been working towards for 10 years," said Mitchell, who is currently part of the squad for the Twenty20 Cup.
"Being a local lad, I'm delighted to have signed with the club I've supported all my life."
Mitchell batted for over five hours for a half century in a Championship game against Leicestershire earlier this month.
