Gloucestershire have signed fast bowler Carl Greenidge on a two-year contract after the player was released by Northamptonshire in September.
Greenidge, the son of former West Indies opening bat Gordon, said: "I am very happy to be joining such a prestigious club as Gloucestershire.
"I am really looking forward to moving down to Bristol and getting started."
Head coach Mark Alleyne said: "Carl's bowling skill and athleticism will compliment the rest of the team well."
Greenidge, 26, played just three Championship games for Northamptonshire in 2004. He has taken 97 first-class wickets in 32 matches.
He is one of two new seamers to move to Bristol in the close season, with Steve Kirby joining the club from Yorkshire.
