Guernsey scored their third successive victory in the ICC European Division Two Championship, beating Germany by eight wickets.

Hosts Guernsey won the toss and put Germany into bat who finished on 188-6 off 50 overs.

In response, the island side chased down the total in 39 overs, finishing on 190-2.

Guernsey's Jeremy Firth scored 100 not out, having taken three wickets from his 10 overs.

Tim Ravenscroft was 64 not out with both opening batsmen, Lee Savident and Blane Queripel, going out on nine runs.

It leaves Guernsey topping the table of the round-robin tournament as the only side to win all three matches played.

France, Germany and Norway have all won two matches while Israel and Gibraltar are yet to secure victories.

Guernsey beat the Germans by the same scoreline via the Duckworth/Lewis method in a rain-affected match in the 2008 division two tournament, which was also held in Guernsey.

In that tournament, the hosts finished second to Jersey by one run in the tournament's deciding match after both teams had previously defeated all their other opponents.
