Centre Lisa Thomson believes the depth in Scotland's squad is "crazy right now" as they prepare for their opening WXV2 match.
The Scots take on hosts South Africa on Friday and will also face the United States and Japan this month.
Bryan Easson's warmed up for the tournament with victory over Spain.
"We've developed as a squad," Thomson said. "We're away with 30 players now that have all got game time at international level under their belt.
"Anybody could play on that pitch and put in a performance that Scotland is proud of, so I think that is the biggest thing.
"The depth that we have is crazy right now. It's super exciting going forward. We've got a squad of 23 and people missing out that could be absolutely on that pitch."
Thomson says the Scots are "looking for 80-minute performances".
"We started a bit slow against Spain," Thomson said. "It probably took until second half to really get going and we know it will be the exact same against South Africa.
"They're going to be a physical team and come out the blocks hard, so we're going to have to weather that storm, I guess."
