Truro City had led 2-0 at Farnham Town before the hosts came back

Truro City manager John Askey has said he was disappointed to have missed the chance to go top of National League South after his side's 2-2 draw at Farnham Town.

The Tinners led 2-0 at half time as first Tyler Harvey converted Jack Stretton's eighth-minute pass to give his side the lead.

Max Kinsey then headed in Connor Riley-Lowe's 38th-minute corner to put the Cornish side in control.

But the hosts moved into the play-off places as they came back in the final half-hour.

Rakish Bingham got their first goal before Trae Cook-Appiah made it 2-2 midway through the second half.

The point leaves Truro in fourth place, a point off leaders Maidstone United, while Farnham are seventh.

"We're disappointed in the goals that we gave away - I think the first one especially," Askey told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"Momentum changes then, having dominated for most of the first half we were playing really well.

"Then they started to go long and we started to struggle with that and they had one or two chances.

"It was disappointing that we didn't control the game in the second half like we did the first, but I thought first half we had to play really well to get two goals up and from what I've seen of them tonight they're a decent side. "
