Merthyr Town have completed the loan signing of midfielder Cole Jarvis thanks to the generosity of supporters.
Martyrs fans have been donating money to the club's funds to help strengthen the squad.
That has now enabled manager Paul Michael to bring Jarvis back to the club on loan from League Two side Newport County.
Michael said: "I'd like to thank those supporters who have contributed to the boost the budget scheme, whether that's from the start of the season or those that have contributed this week. This has helped enable this move to happen."
Jarvis moved from National League North side Merthyr to Newport at the start of 2026 and made 11 appearances in League Two.
Now the 25-year-old, who can also play in attack, returns to Penydarren Park until January.
"We all know what he's going to give us on the pitch," said Michael.
"He's going to bring athleticism, a physical presence a lot of quality and hopefully impact in both boxes.
"Hopefully this spell will help Cole get that regular match fitness and it will be beneficial for all parties."
The club has also confirmed the signing of forward Japhet Matondo following his release from Stoke City.
The 21-year-old Wales youth international came through the ranks at Cardiff City, joining the Bluebirds' academy as a youngster in 2012 and spending more than a decade in the Welsh capital.
In 2024 he moved to Championship side Stoke, following in the footsteps of older brother and Welsh international Rabbi Matondo. However, after failing to make a first-team appearance, he left when his contract expired this summer.
