Truro City do not want to be on the end of an FA Cup shock in their third qualifying round tie, says head of football Alex Black.
The Tinners host ninth-tier Cirencester Town - who have already gone through four rounds - for the chance to reach the final round of qualifying later this month.
Cirencester beat sixth-tier Farnham Town with a 2-1 win in a replay last month after holding them to a 0-0 draw at home.
"They have knocked out a National League South team in the last round, so they've got a history of causing an upset," Black told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"The FA Cup's famous for it, isn't it? Underdogs, winning games and knocking out teams.
"It'd be unusual for us in this occasion, we'll be the big boys, so often we're the underdogs, but we don't want there to be a cup shock.
"We want to go out and do a professional job, get the win and be in the bag for the draw for the next round."
Truro have made a strong start in National League South following relegation last season.
They are sixth in the table, two points off leaders Maidstone United and Dagenham and Redbridge, but could go top if they win their game in hand at Farnham Town on Tuesday.
"It's been a very, very positive start," Black said.
"We've had a tough start in that we've played a lot of the top teams already this season, so we're very happy with our performances.
"You always say at the start of the season you're looking at performance more than just results, but results have been good as well and we're up there in the play-off positions.
"We want a good cup run, but we also want to really keep our focus on league performance and give ourselves the best chance of getting up again if we can.
"We had a little taste of it last year and we want to try and get back there at some point."
