Huddersfield Town assistant head coach Alan Knill has left his position after less than three months in the role.

The 61-year-old joined Martin Drury's staff in July after a long spell as Chris Wilder's assistant at Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Watford.

The Terriers are third in League One with 15 points from eight games.

"Alan's decision to step away is one we entirely respect and we're glad to have had him at the club alongside us for the opening months of the season," sporting director Chris Markham told the club website., external
