Winger Hyun-jun Yang will return to Celtic after winning the Asian Games with South Korea.
They beat Japan 1-0 in the final to win their fourth successive title in the competition.
Yang, who has been suffering with a hamstring issue throughout the tournament, was declared fit for the final but didn't come off the bench in the narrow victory.
The 24-year-old will now be exempt from South Korea's mandatory military service, subject to completing a period of basic training, after winning gold in the competition.
Usually South Koreans have to complete 18-21 months of military service which Yang would have had to take before the age of 28.
