A leading fertility charity says women who freeze their eggs are being misled by some clinics about success rates. The Fertility Network has responded to BBC analysis, which found 41% of UK fertility clinics offering the service privately could be in breach of advertising guidance. Egg freezing for non-medical reasons, also known as social egg freezing, is an increasingly popular method for women to preserve their fertility in order to have children at a later date. The procedure is not normally available on the NHS unless you are having medical treatment which could affect your fertility. In this episode of 5 Minutes On, Investigative reporter for BBC News Anna Collinson hears from some women who have gone through the egg freezing process, and the problems they faced along the way.
