A new approach to care after birth in hospital
Fathers in the delivery room are no longer an usual sight, but once the baby is born, they're generally encouraged to go home. But a number of hospitals are trying a new approach.
The Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby has opened a new suite of rooms where couples check in and stay through labour, delivery and the first few days after birth. Dad is expected to help in the care of his partner and baby.
Caroline Swinburne went to see the new facility with the project manager Hazel Coley.
