Professor Uduak Archibong 16 September 2004
On her new role as the country's first professor of diversity

Professor Uduak Archibong grew up in Nigeria and following in her mother's footsteps, trained to be a nurse. She chose the job because it was one of the only professions to offer a scholarship for poorer families. A gifted student she went on to university, becoming the first to graduate from her faculty with a first class degree.

Now she's in England and has been appointed the country's first professor of diversity. Her task at Bradford University is to act as a 'race champion' on behalf of staff and students.

She joins Jenni to talk about what she hopes to achieve in her new job.
