  Summer Sizzlers 1: Cannas 23 August 2004
How to invigorate a summer border

The pride of the British garden is the summer herbaceous border. But in many gardens the first flush of blooms are beginning to fade and the result is lots of green, with very little additional colour.

In this series Corinne Julius investigates how to invigorate the summer border, with the help of Maggie Campbell-Culver, author of The Origins of Plants.
