Sexism and the City 20 July 2004
Are high-flying city women who cry sexism just out for themselves?

The City is the powerhouse of the British economy – a square mile of land in central London which contributes 3% of the country’s gross domestic product. It’s a competitive and highly paid environment in which to work. So why are so many women complaining of a culture of sexism and bullying?

Amanda Platell thinks that if they can’t take the heat, they should get out of the City. Dr Karen Janman of the Work Foundation and employment lawyer Gillian Howard think she's wrong.
