The first healer to be employed by the NHS
In 1995 Angie Buxton-King's son, Sam, was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia. Throughout his illness and up until his death three years later, Angie practiced 'healing' on Sam. The benefits of the healing were observed by an intrigued Senior Nurse Stephen Rowley, who later employed Angie as the NHS's first paid healer.
Angie Buxton-King talks to Jenni about how her son's death inspired her to extend her healing abilities to others. Stephen Rowley will also be in the studio, discussing what prompted him to employ Angie, and the reaction they got from both patients and colleagues.
