  Work experience 6 July 2004
Does it help the parents more than the children?

This week and next students around the country will be abandoning their classrooms to spend a fortnight doing work experience. Is it a chance for students to learn new skills or just another way in which well-connected parents increase their children's opportunities?

Pupils from Sheen International School talk about their opportunity gain an insight to the world of work.

Jenni discusses the pros and cons of the scheme with Selina Todd, Research Fellow at London University who thinks it's a waste of time and Rhian Lloyd Thomas, Head Teacher of Sheen International School.
