  Childhood Eczema 29 June 2004

Are some parents misinformed about the best treatment?

Eczema is one of the most common childhood complaints - 1 in 3 children below the age of 3 suffer from the condition. Yet, some parents are potentially harming their children because of misinformation about the best treatment. Fear of the effects of steroid creams is leading many parents to avoid treatment altogether, or to experiment with often dangerous natural alternatives.

Consultant dermatologist, Dr Sue Lewis-Jones and Dr Marysia Kratimenos of the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital join Jenni to discuss what should be done to treat this often debilitating condition.

Dr Lewis-Jones answers your questions on childhood eczema.  Read the webchat transcript
