Is early release the right call?

Hundreds of prisoners across England and Wales were released early today under a new scheme designed to free up prison space. Offenders serving sentences of up to 19 months are now eligible for release after a third of their term. Prisoners serving life sentences and sentences for rape, grooming, serious child sexual offences and manslaughter were excluded. 5 live listeners shared their thoughts on the early release scheme with Nicky Campbell.
