Work is underway to repair the landmark's historic pinnacles as part of a £250,000 grant, following damage caused from the 100mph winds of 2021's Storm Arwen.

Work is underway to repair the landmark's historic pinnacles as part of a £250,000 grant, following damage caused from the 100mph winds of 2021's Storm Arwen.

Scaffolding has been erected around the cathedral's tower to rebuild the north-western structures, which perform more than just a decorative function.

BBC Hereford & Worcester's Millie Trenholm reports.

Canon Kimberley Bohen says the repairs will secure the landmark's future for the next 500 years.
