Bradford’s “worst” illegal dump to be cleared up
In the shadow of Bradford City's famous Valley Parade football stadium, a crime scene is in place, with investigators sifting through thousands of tonnes of illegally dumped household and commercial waste. Sandwiched between Midland Road and the railway line, the enormous pile of rubbish was reported to the Environment Agency on the 1st July.
Now the Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced that three of the country's worst illegal dumps are due to be cleaned up. Sites in Kent, Surrey and West Yorkshire will be assessed for clearance. The BBC’s David Rhodes reports.
