Ilkley’s Daredevil Grandma Flies Again!

82-year-old Valerie Appleton from Ilkley - known locally as Daredevil Grandma - performed an aerobatic wing walk this weekend.

It's not even her first wing walk - she did one four years ago to raise money for LS29 Special Needs Support Group.

She also celebrated her 80th birthday by abseiling from the east stand at Elland Road for Yorkshire Cat Rescue.

This time she's raising money for her beloved Ilkley Musical Theatre Society's Operatic House, which needs a new kitchen, repainted hall, new storage and general repairs.
