BBC Radio Ulster - Thought for the Day from Radio Ulster

Sheena Bradley, Thursday 9th October 2025

I’ve started to make a habit of looking up and out across whatever is in front of me...

Did you know an octopus has one more heart than a Timelord from the Planet Gallifrey?

Today, I am thankful for the farming community.

Not just a plain “no” – more an “absolutely not in a million years, no".

Grand is an interesting word when it comes to Northern Irish chat.

I couldn’t work out why I felt so panicky when it was flying around inside the house.

You didn’t need your TV drama for tension, emotion and surprises.

Its speed and mystery show how vast the universe is, and how much of it remains unknown.

That night, I could frame the hope of communities near and far making hopes real.

Is he talking about me?
